2008 GT - $4518 (http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/cto/4514022108.html)
Supposedly not far from me though the cell number is Palm Springs, CA. Can't imagine this is legit!!! Even with an auto I'd give him the asking price if it was clean & legit. :dunno:

When in doubt, ask your local sheriff department inspector to come with you to verify the validity of the car.
In FL, all cars coming into the state are required to be inspected by the county inspector (sheriff) or DMV inspector. This is due to the number of Re-VINed stolen cars being pumped out.
The day prior to having my car inspected, the sheriff said she had to impound a Cadillac Escalade due to re-VINing a stolen car. The dude was out $42k and no car…
Oh… I'd bet you a donut there isn't a car behind that add.

Here is an idea.
Phone.
See the car.
Then, and only then, make a decision.
Just an idea, mind...

That's what the scam is - too cheap to be real.
Caller #1:
"Hi, I'm calling about the car for sale."
"Yeah man, you're like the third guy who's called in the past hour. I got someone coming to take a look at it, but if you want to wire me the money, I'll hold it for you till you get here."

Just sit back and collect money from people all over the US. Run ads in each major or minor city and wait for the suckers to come looking to score a deal they can't pass up.

I emailed the seller, here are 2 responses I received from him. It's a SCAM and using eBay as well!
Hello there,
Glad you are one of the people interested in buying my car. I'm selling it because I recently got divorced and I don't need it anymore. Let me give you a few details about it: very good shape, no mechanical issues,no scratches nor dents, and it has never been involved in any kind of accidents. Has only 53,100 miles, its automatic, with an 2.0l 4 cylinders engine, RWD, copper red mica metallic exterior and natural saddle tan interior. The sale price is $ 4,500. I have a clear title, free of any liens or loans on it, under my name.
If you are interested in buying it or if you have any questions, please reply to this email.
Sincerely,
Daniel Siboni
Hi Rick,
I will do my best to walk you through the process. As I told you in my first email, I recently got divorced. The car is located in Omaha, Nebraska, but I advertised it on other states also to get more exposure and sell it faster. The car is already at the shipping company, ready to be delivered to its future new owner. The deal is handled by eBay so I don't have much to do about it. Using eBay`s Buyer Protection Program, you get free shipping, at your place in 3 days. In addition, you get 5 days to try it out before buying it, and if you don't like it, you can send it back at my expense. For more info on how it works, I can ask eBay to send you an email with more details on how to buy it. If you would like to receive the email from eBay Motors with all the transaction information, please reply with your whole name, shipping address and phone # and they will contact you right away.

See what happens when you actually contact someone versus NDing (aka baseless speculation) - you get a response.
And red text is a dead giveaway, scammers always use red text.
